Our enrichment programme offers something for everyone, bringing the College community together through opportunities that build friendships, skills, confidence, and resilience. From creative activities and wellbeing initiatives to academic stretch and sporting excellence, enrichment at Truro and Penwith is designed to prepare you for life beyond College — supporting both your personal growth and your future ambitions.

Enrichment complements your full-time study programme and reflects our ethos of resilience, aspiration, and achievement. Alongside a wide range of clubs, societies, and wellbeing opportunities, you’ll also find specialist academic pathways such as Academic Excellence and the Accelerate programme, plus our Competitive Sport Academies, ensuring every student can push further, aim higher, and reach their full potential.

Academic Excellence and the Accelerate Programme
Accelerate is our bespoke STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) pathway for ambitious A Level students who want to go further. It’s designed for those with a passion for their subjects, the drive to excel, and the ambition to progress to top universities and competitive higher education courses.
As part of Accelerate, you’ll gain access to exclusive opportunities like international STEM competitions, advanced research projects, industry placements and guest lectures from leading experts. Alongside your A Levels, you’ll join specialist academies, work with other high-achieving students, and develop the skills and confidence that give you a real advantage when applying to Oxbridge, Russell Group universities or future STEM careers.
Competitive Sport Academies
Through expert coaching, our Sport Academies allow you to progress and excel in your chosen discipline. You will have the opportunity to train, improve your skills and play your sport at an elite level. Sport academies include:

Our Stories
Poppy’s Story
Poppy was able to go further during her time at Truro College by being a part of the brand-new Accelerate Programme, which aided her in achieving a place at Oxford University, as well as top A Level results.

Fred – BSc (Hons) Applied Sport and Health Science
Fred’s journey with the College has come full circle, from playing in Truro College’s Football Academy first team to later coaching it. Alongside this, he became a fully qualified gym instructor thanks to his degree at the University Centre and now is committed to helping students both on the pitch and in the gym.
