The College has recently been recognised by Sports Leaders UK as a National Sports Leadership Academy. If you are looking to continue or start leading or volunteering in sport we hope to provide the perfect opportunity for you.
Students will be given the chance to develop their leadership skills in a variety of areas as well as assisting or coaching in a range of sessions. They will be supported and mentored by the Leadership Academy staff. There will be opportunities to lead activities and organise events with various primary, secondary and special school pupils.
Students will also be able to gain Level 2 and Level 3 Leadership Awards.
In recognition of her leadership and volunteering both in College and the community Abbe Reskelly was selected to attend the BCS National Championship held at Bath University to act as a volunteer.
Ethan Philips and Alice Main were selected from a Boccia event at Truro College to act as leaders at a national event in Sheffield. This was the first step to becoming accredited as Boccia leaders with sights set on volunteering at the Olympic Games in Rio 2016.
