ESSENTIAL COOKIES

| exp_anon | A flag set by the user to determine if they are listed in the online users. |
| exp_expiration | Determines the length of the session for a logged in user. There are two options for this cookie: if the user has selected _remember me_ then it is set to 1 year, and if not then it’s set to the datetime that the user logged in. Used only for logged in members. |
NON-ESSENTIAL COOKIES

How to make a Data Subject Access Request?
Please email dataprotection@truro-penwith.ac.uk and complete a form and send from your student email or personal email which is registered with the college.
The college will respond within 30 days of receiving the form to your request. Please indicate in your request the information you require. Please remember this is data held about the data subject only and not any third party. If you are acting on behalf of the third party, please ensure you attach the relevant permissions from your client. Parents of students will also need to ensure they have the necessary permission from their young person, if acting on their behalf. In the UK, young people over the age of 13 can give their own consent to the processing of their personal data and have the right to control and be informed about how their personal data is used or processed. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your rights under the Data Protection Act 1998.
How to make a change to my personal details held on record?
Please email MIS@truro-penwith.ac.uk from your student email account and ask for your details to be amended e.g. Address, telephone number or email address, NOK.

Freedom of Information Request (FOI)
Please email your request in writing including the detail you require, to dataprotection@truro-penwith.ac.uk and the college will respond to you within 20 working days. Please note the college may request an extension to responding to your request during August each year due to staff absence in the holidays and to acquire the necessary information needed for a full response.
Use of images, videos and case studies
Truro and Penwith College uses photographs, video footage and written case studies to promote the College, celebrate student success and inform the public about our courses, facilities and activities. We only use this material where we have a lawful basis to do so, which is usually explicit consent from the student or participant.
Marketing images and case studies are used in printed materials, online prospectuses, social media, website content, digital advertising and other promotional activity. Images will not be edited or used in a way that misrepresents the individual or brings them into disrepute.
All photographs, videos and case studies are kept for up to six years from the date they were created, after which they are securely deleted unless further consent is requested and granted. A small number may be retained beyond this period for archival, historical or record-keeping purposes, but they will not be used publicly without renewed consent.
Individuals may withdraw their consent at any time by contacting the Marketing Team at marketing@truro-penwith.ac.uk. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of any use prior to withdrawal.
