A Day of Wild Crafts

A day of wild crafts, use a draw blade, make string from nettles and enjoy a campfire stew.

each month practice different wild techniques and crafts. During winter months hone your firelighting skills and wood crafting techniques, In spring learn more about foraging in the hedgerows and feast on your finds. Over the summer, sessions vary from making wild musical instruments to weaving natural string and leather work.
Sat 15 October 2016 - Woodcraft, whittling and using a drawblade. Make string from nettles and enjoy a campfire stew.
Sat 03 December 2016 - festive and traditional crafts by the campfire. make a natural Christmas present or weave an evergreen wreath.
Sat 04 February 2017 - fire lighting using traditional mathods and campfire cooking. Light a fire without matches, use flint and steel, a battery, magnify glass or friction. have a go at producing charcoal and brewing with a Kelly Kettle.
Sat 04 March 2017 - woodcraft, whittling and using a drawblade. Make string from nettles and enjoy a campfire stew.
Sat 13 May 2017 - Making natural musical instruments, whistles, kazoos, banjos and bongos with a campfire lunch.
