Transitions - Student Exhibition
Thursday 23rd March 2017
Private View: 7pm-9pm
Tom Thumb, Newquay
Hosted by Tom Thumb premium independent bar, Newquay, the private view will take place on Thursday 23rd 7pm-9pm with free admission and refreshments.
Platt’s project Transitions begins to explore the social and economic problems of British seaside towns. Focusing mainly on the rapid re-development of Newquay, the work portrays an interesting narrative about Cornwall’s beautiful coastline. This long-term project tells a tale of Cornish culture, journeying through past and present in an attempt to rediscover the true heritage of the county.
Great supporters of the student event, Tom Thumb were happy to lend a hand:
“We at Tom Thumb are proud to be the venue for a fantastic photographic exhibition.”
Sponsored by Atlantic Brewery, the event boasts a range of free beverages including some delightful elderflower ales to get you in the mood for spring.
