Olympic Torchbearer Emma Davidson who ran one of the Newlyn legs brought her torch to First Steps nursery in Penzance where she is a Room Supervisor. The children were thrilled as some of them has gone to see Emma in Newlyn on the 19th May. Emma allowed each one to hold the torch as they reconstructed the run from Lands End through Cornwall. Glyn Clark the Nursery Manager said, “the children were thrilled to be allowed to touch the torch. We had been doing a lot of work with them to help them understand what the Olympics is all about and this was the icing on the cake.” If you are interested to find out more about the nursery please contact Glyn on 01736 366981.
