Teechers top performance

Published: Monday, August 13, 2012

‘Astonishing’ and ‘Truly Brilliant’ are just a few of the audience reactions to the performance of  ‘Teechers’ by John Godber in Penwith College’s 180 seater auditorium.

Four talented students on the A level drama course seemed to switch effortlessly between roles by simply putting on jackets or hats or wigs. The characters are all recognisable to any of us who have ever had any contact with schools. From Australian beauty Jackie Prime the PE mistress, to Mr Basford the bullying deputy head.

All in all a thoroughly enjoyable show and the ninja and disco scenes with high energy and laugh out loud comic timing really brought the play to life!

Amazing performances by Jessamy Semmens, Becka Clark, Hannah Cartwright and Jack Brownridge-Kelly left the audience wanting more.
