A-level students have donated 50 kg of books to help start a library for the Village Africa project in Tanzania. A friend of the college is currently on sabbatical volunteering for the Village Africa project and teaching Maths. She was horrified at the lack of basic resources and was determined to try and leave some kind of legacy when she returns to the UK. A-level students were asked to donate any unwanted books aimed at children and young adults and they rose to the challenge with 50 kilos being sent last month. Anyone wishing to find out more about this project can look at their website http://villageafrica.org.uk/what-we-do/about-us/
