With men putting almost as much effort into their appearances as women, the demand for skilled barbers to cut and style hair is on the rise. (Barbers only cater for men – if you want to work on female hair too, see the Hairdressing Apprenticeship.) On this Apprenticeship, you will learn to carry out a shave or an Indian head massage. You will also learn about (and be tested on) other issues like hygiene, disposing of chemicals and working in a team.
This Apprenticeship includes the following elements:
- NVQ Diploma in Barbering Level 3
- Level 2 Functional Skill in Mathematics
- Level 2 Functional Skill in English
- Employer Rights and Responsibilities (work-book)
