Course Overview
This programme is designed to develop practising or potential manager’s to understand the nature and origins of personal values, beliefs, attitudes and prejudices and the impact this can have on workplace behaviour. The content will examine case studies, examples of good practice and develop and understanding of the individuals own responsibilities in valuing and managing diversity.
Course Content
The sessions will include exploration of own values, beliefs, attitudes and prejudices. Examination of case studies with regards to employee relations and implementation of reasonable adjustments in the workplace. The course includes whole group discussions to look at relevant legislation, policy and procedure with presentation to peers. Each session will include assignment briefing and tutorial support.

Time commitment
This is a three day course which will require additional reading and assignments.
Assessment
A reflective review in three sections with suggested word count of between 800-1500 words. First section is a review of existing culture relating to equality and diversity, second is to develop activities to implement effective equality and diversity and finally an explanation of how equality and diversity will be managed on an on-going basis in your functional area.
