Wide Variety of Sensory equipment
Students have the opportunity to experience a wide range of sensory equipment such as the latest eye gaze technology, Skoog music and ultraviolet lighting.
What Will I Learn?
A sensory curriculum where students will follow one of two pathways: independent engagement or exploration of events. The curriculum denotes its sensory focus integrating a plethora of sense specific sessions.
ACE tutors incorporate a range of techniques to ensure that the learning style of every student is met.
The following curriculum subjects are incorporated across the course:
- Cultural Explorations
- Sensory Cookery
- Forest School
- Intensive Interaction
- Expressive Arts
- Dance Therapy
- Inclusive Technology
- Physio and Movement
- Music Therapy
Where Will It Take Me?
The students may have the opportunity to access further education opportunities or other appropriate placements.
Every student in ACE follows a learning plan developed after a time of initial assessment. Targets are developed within this plan for each individual and are reviewed termly. All our subjects are cross referenced to the Foundation Learning Achievement Continuum and student achievement is assessed by tutors on an ongoing basis.
Course requires £15 pounds termly contribution.
