This Apprenticeship will provide a thorough, in-depth introduction to both traditional and digital marketing, and will give Apprentices the relevant experience they need to get started in the industry and gain permanent employment within any area of Marketing and Communications.

A world-wide qualification

Apprentices achieve qualifications with the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), the world’s largest community of marketers recognised around the globe.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

The course starts with Marketing theory and planning, how to develop and communicate with different audiences, which messages to focus on and how to develop a brand. Apprentices will also learn how to conduct and use effective market research and about the ethics and legislation relating to Marketing communications. The course then moves on to specific Digital Marketing skills such as Email Marketing, Social Media Marketing, SEO, PPC Advertising, Website Development and Social Media Advertising.

Each element will be covered fully, before Apprentices go on to complete a short skill-based project in their workplace, to demonstrate they are able to put learning into practice.

WHERE WILL IT TAKE ME?

Sucessful completion of this course prepares Apprentices for career progression to roles such as Marketing Assistant, Marketing Coordinator and Social Media Manager. Further study options include degree-level courses in Business and accredited and non-accredited management and marketing courses available at the University Centre Truro and Penwith.

ASSESSMENT ARRANGEMENTS

Apprentices will be assessed through a work based project, multiple choice test and interview.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Grade 3 GCSE (D) or above in English and Maths.
