City & Guilds Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment

This qualification is for practitioners who are required to assess both in the work environment and through other vocationally related situations.  To achieve the qualification you must be using a broad range of assessment methods. In a work environment assessment methods would include direct observation of workplace practice, professional discussion, oral questioning, witness statements, work products and reflective statements. Through other vocationally related situations assessment would include assessment in simulated environments, skills tests, oral and written questions, assignment, projects, case studies and recognition of prior learning.
