What Will I Learn?
Through exciting bespoke delivery of a range of interesting subjects, you will develop in confidence and the ability to communicate with a wider community. Participating in volunteering and enterprise and developing personal and independent skills will prepare you for broader future opportunities once your course is completed.
How your college tutors will deliver maths and English will depend on your individual needs. You may engage in small group lessons and follow a pre- entry or entry level curriculum, or you may develop maths and language skills using the engagement model through multi-sensory activities.
Where Will It Take Me?
Your course will focus on developing the skills you will need when you move on from college. Staff will support you in transitioning from college onto your desired outcome, determined in your Education Health Care Plan.
Assessment Arrangements
Before you begin your college course, staff will contact you, your teachers and your parents and carers for their assistance in completing a thorough initial assessment which will help us to set achievable targets based on your needs. Reviewing and setting targets will be on going throughout your time with us so that we can be sure you continue to progress.

Throughout your course you will receive support from your personal tutor and learning support assistants. In addition, specialist careers advisors will be on hand to support you with your next steps. Student Services are available to offer advice and guidance on finance, benefits and emotional issues. College works very closely with staff at Cornwall County Council who will also be on hand to support your transition.
