Terrace Takeover at the Headland Hotel

Truro and Penwith College is joining forces with The Headland Hotel and Spa in Newquay to raise awareness of new Apprenticeship jobs that will provide anyone over the age of 16 an opportunity to start a career in the Cornish hospitality sector.

The College will be joining The Headland Hotel at the ‘Terrace Takeover’, an event jointly organised by both the College and the Hotel which will see the Headland’s current Apprentices design a special menu which will be served in the Hotel’s Terrace Restaurant on the 6th February 2018. This will run alongside an open evening where interested learners and parents can meet members of the College’s Apprenticeship team, Hotel Management and current Apprentices will share their experiences and discuss the varied range of careers available.
Applications will be accepted throughout the event and those attending will have the opportunity to learn more about Apprenticeships. Qualifications such as Maths and English GCSE’s can be achieved along-side Apprenticeship training and Government reforms in 2017 mean the route is now open to those with a University level qualification, making them a great option to start a new career, earn money and study for nationally recognised qualifications.
