Philosophy, Religion and Ethics students from Penwith, Truro and Callywith enjoyed a Philosophy Masterclass organised by Lecturer and Deputy Team Leader for A levels at Penwith College, Elle Wheatley. Hosted by Dr Greg Barker, Fellow at the University of Winchester, a former Head of Theology and Religious Studies at the University of Wales, the students enjoyed a mix of tips on structuring balanced viewpoint essays, exam techniques and interactive talks on a variety of topics. A level Philosophy has exhibited a huge resurgence in popularity over the past few years and bringing together students from all 3 sites for the common good was a huge success.
Artwork from HND student Felicitas Wagner, winner of the Arts Society West Cornwall Emerging Artist Award has been selected to be showcased at the Royal Over-Seas League in Mayfair, and at The Mall Galleries in London next year. Out of all of the work selected by Arts Societies across the UK and Europe only 20 pieces are selected for both exhibitions.
Moving all the way to London and completing the first year of a degree in Anthropology, Morwenna Craze realised she had been pursuing the wrong career path. Volunteering with UNICEF and other medical and global based charities and societies whilst studying at UCL, Morwenna had awoken a desire to follow a career in Medicine.
