The Christmas themed session on 18 December, complete with complimentary mince pies, will focus on the College’s Team Leader or Supervisor Apprenticeship. The relatively new Apprenticeship is already making waves with employers across Cornwall with all learners to date achieving a distinction grade, 70% of whom have been promoted since completing the course.
Two members of the latest group have gone on to receive county-wide recognition for the impact they have made on their business; Emily Stanbury from FX plus won her category at the 2019 Cornwall Apprenticeship Awards earlier this month, with Claire Mason from Kernow Fires scooping Young Business Person of the Year at the 2019 Cornwall Business Awards.
The Apprenticeship delivers a comprehensive management development programme for current managers and supervisors, providing them with an Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) diploma and 1:1 coaching to support them in overcoming real workplace challenges and achieving organisational goals.
The next group will start the 15 month programme at the end of January 2020 and the Information Session on Wednesday 18 December (2:00 - 4:00pm) at Haven House Conference and Training Centre, Truro will cover suitable job roles, workplace support required, funding and an opportunity to speak to an organisation currently enjoying results from programme.
