With an impressive work history, Alison’s most recent role was Associate Professor in Corporate Development at De Montfort University where she led on Apprenticeship Development.
In 2013 Alison worked in partnership with fast food giant KFC to develop a degree level management Apprenticeship. Leading and continually developing the programme with KFC to deliver business results, 50 employees were enrolled onto the Apprenticeship over a three year period delivering over £1.5 million of funding for the University.
Word soon spread to employers across the midlands and by 2019 Alison found herself developing management training for other big names including; Pets at Home, Leicester Tigers, Leicester City Football Club and Caterpillar, along with large public sector organisations such as; University Hospitals Leicester, George Elliott Hospitals Nuneaton, Charnwood Borough Council and Leicester City Council.
Alison’s expertise in management training is by no means limited to consultation and course design. A highly accomplished tutor, Alison led a team of 11 staff at De Montfort, delivering a Business Communications module to over 1000 students across multiple campuses. Alison personally spent eight years teaching the Business Communications module in China, India and Vietnam, while a module she designed was also delivered in Copenhagen.
Not finished there Alison also worked with the likes of Volkswagen and Vauxhall to supervise students on work placement programmes and taught on corporate programmes for Vauxhall, General Motors and Norfolk Constabulary.
Specialising in Leadership and Management Alison has already been working with the College’s European funded project; Hospitality Table Cornwall to develop a programme for team leaders and supervisors in some of Cornwall’s top hotels.
