Last few tickets remain for Friday’s Fishy Feast

The Fishermen’s Mission are teaming up with Jude Kereama (Great British Menu, Kota and Kota Kai) and Senara Restaurant (Penwith College, Penzance) to host a fabulous fishy feast in order to raise money for the charity.

There is a fantastic line up of chefs including Stephane Delourme (The Seafood Restaurant), Ben Tunnicliffe (The Tolcarne Inn), Guy Owen (Idle Rocks), Emily Scott (St Tudy Inn), Mick Smith (Porthminster Beach Café), Stuart Pate (The Seafood Restaurant) and Sophie Thompson (winner of Celebrity Masterchef 2014). On arrival, there will be canapés made by Sam’s in the City and welcome drinks. The Cadgwith Singers will welcome guests with their traditional songs and sea shanties while Flats & Sharps will be playing out the feast with their stomping bluegrass music, and BBC’s Tiffany Truscott will be the host for this sensational evening, which kicks off from 6.30pm. 

Each chef will be making two signature fishy dishes with free wine and ales a plenty! Petit fours and coffee will be provided by Stuart Pate and Origin Coffee Roasters, with tickets only costing £60.

There will also be an auction with prizes including a three course set lunch for two at Paul Ainsworth at no 6 with a glass of champagne, a voucher for Mark Hix’s restaurant for £150, the taster menu and wine for two at Ben’s Cornish Kitchen, a voucher for Tom Brown’s restaurant Cornerstone for two guests to have the six courses lunch tasting menu and a bottle of house wine, a Skinners Brewery Tour for two people, Waves & Wellbeing Spa Day including lunch and glass of fizz at the Headland Hotel, dinner for two in the Beach Hut at the Watergate Bay Hotel including a bottle of house wine, and loads of other amazing prizes.

Level 2 and 3 Food & Beverage and Professional Cookery students will be working alongside the chefs and running the floor at the event. Graham Oxley, Programme Leader for Hospitality at the College said: “It’s such an incredible collaboration of chefs and to be bringing this to the heart of the fishing community in order to raise much needed funds is inspiring – we cannot thank everyone enough who have shown their support for this event.”

Julian from the Fishermen’s Mission said: “All the chefs are giving their time and vast experience for free. It will be a night full of quality, entertainment and fun. We’re also looking forward to meeting Sophie Thompson, actress and winner of Celebrity Master Chef.”
