Restaurants and suppliers in the hospitality industry have teamed up with four of Cornwall’s top chefs and Senara Restaurant at Penwith College to offer a one off charity dinner that will be followed by a special screening of the iconic musical with speciality popcorn and ice cream.
All proceeds are to be donated to Street Food Project Penzance along with the surplus food from the event.

The event ‘Senara Cinema Presents: Moulin Rouge’ will include a three course meal and will allow guests to experience food that has established the chef’s restaurants as top places to dine throughout Cornwall and beyond. Plus a big screen projection of the iconic musical by Baz Luhrmann while guests enjoy speciality popcorn and gourmet ice cream!

Who will be there?
Before the screening, those lucky enough to book a ticket will enjoy arrival drinks and canapés followed by a three course meal prepared by a number of top chefs including; Stephane Delourme and Stuart Pate from the Rick Stein Group, Jude Kereama from Kota and Nik Boyle from Victoria inn. The organisers and hosts of this event are none other than our amazing Hospitality Manager Apprentices, who have been in charge of networking with suppliers, choosing the entertainment and selecting the wine list to accompany the menu.
In the build up to ‘Senara Cinema Presents: Moulin Rouge’, three of our Hospitality Manager Apprentices met with Head Sommelier from Fifteen, Elly Owen, at Scarlet Wines in St Ives. Elly helped to select the wine list for the menu, and shared some tips and advice with the Apprentices while they tasted a selection of wines.
