Those looking for a way to enter the creative industries are being given the chance to explore the incredible opportunities available right on their doorstep in Cornwall.
Truro and Penwith College’s beautiful Tregye campus, which features dedicated Foundation Art & Design facilities, is hosting an Open Day on 10 December from 10am until 2pm.
Potential students will have the chance to talk to the specialist tutors who are practicing artists, as well tour the 3D workshops, print making, dark room and textile studios.
The ABC Link showcase centre is the perfect place to study the award-winning Foundation Art course, with many of the former students going on to highly successful careers within the creative industries.
Whether it’s a future in graphics or fine art you are considering, Art and Design curriculum secretary Michelle Pearce says “it’s going to be a great day”.
“This is an opportunity to take part in interactive activities, get a great feel for the campus and discuss your future plans with our exceptional tutors and course leaders,” she continued.
For under 19s the one-year, full-time course is free, while mature students find the two-year part-time course is ideal for fitting in life’s other commitments.
The College’s multi-disciplinary approach to art and design is perfect for those who want a career in the creative industries and are keen to explore the multitude of options and avenues available to them.
