From mesmerising solo performances to charismatic groups, the students showed time and again their ability to perform in a variety of ways. The performances were choreographed by the lecturers as well as the students and included a range of styles including tap, jazz, contemporary and urban.
The students have been working on the performance throughout the term, taking inspiration from the artists they have been studying. Stakes were high as not only did they have to perform to a group of second year students studying the Musical Theatre L3 Subsidiary Diploma as well as a later audience of friends and family, they were also assessed on their performance.
Victoria Hocking, lecturer in Dance at Truro College, couldn’t believe the levels of talent the students displayed: “The dancers were superb and excelled in displaying their versatility. All the lecturers are exceptionally proud of their hard work this term and leading up to the performance. We also thank the Production Art students who were in charge of the sound and lighting for the show. It was a great display of the talent here at the College.”
