We calculate the services required by evaluating applications to Truro and Penwith College and assessing returning students who purchased passes last year as this gives an indication on the routes that will be needed.
We also take into account any known road construction works, differing traffic patterns and course changes students make when they join us in September.
Our aim is to ensure students can travel to College along main arterial routes to each campus in order to undertake their choice of course. We are not able to sustain duplicate vehicles unless sufficient demand is proven.
This year, restructuring our timetables will also bring, as yet, unknown changes to travel patterns.
The process is as accurate as we can determine, with the information we have. We understand any changes bring concern for new and existing passengers. We wish to assure you that, as usual, we will be tracking buses and counting passengers arriving per vehicle, over the first two weeks of term.
