In her joint role, Rachel works with lots of the University Centre students, whether it be helping to find the right work placement alongside your studies or assisting with study skills . You can often find her in the student support room, ready to help students with the next project!
She commented: “I love helping the students and am passionate about learning and development. I have a strong interest in neurodiversity in Higher Education and love working with adult learners supporting with professional practice development.”
“I have worked at the college and in Further Education for more than 10 years. Recently moving into Higher Education has been a highlight for me, it’s amazing having a supportive team of colleagues and I am proud to be part of the University Centre Truro and Penwith.”
“The University Centre Truro and Penwith is an exceptionally supportive and welcoming environment, you are a person and not a number here and I’m always happy to be meeting students face to face to offer help.”
Rachel’s advice to prospective students is: “Consider your options and please come along to open days! We are always pleased to meet you so come along to one and find out more about studying with us and how we can help you.”
