Strong on fieldwork, the use of digital techniques, museum work, laboratory analysis and artefact care, you have many opportunities to undertake surveys and discover the practical essentials of professional archaeology. Establishing a good grounding in world scientific and environmental archaeology, you will explore the subject with a range of both theoretical and practical skills. Working in the laboratory, you will get some hands-on experience with pollen analysis to explore key developments and diversity. Further practical work will include designing and organising a public exhibition producing informative posters, delivering and preparing conference papers for publication and writing a dissertation.
