The fundamental principles of computing technology will be studied and applied to contemporary technologies and practice, covering the architecture, processes and applications of computer technology. in addition to building and developing existing computing skills, you will be presented with new and challenging work that will broaden your expertise and make you aware of new possibilities. Designed to address the shortage of skilled individuals within the IT community, issues such as customer support, system administration and professional practice will also be covered to enable you to understand how knowledge and skills might be used in an organisational context. 

On successful completion of this course, you will have an understanding of computer systems and practices and will be able to design, install and configure networks, applications, web applications and computer systems when applied to a commercial, client-led brief.
