Gaining a scientific understanding of anatomy, exercise physiology and nutrition, you will learn how to conduct fitness tests and health screenings as well as designing exercise programmes for a range of clients and special populations. The need for health, fitness and exercise professionals is evolving due to the national concern of healthy lifestyles and the need for appropriate exercise prescription. with an increased need for exercise trainers and advisers; fore health promotion advisors in schools, workplaces and private clinics; for preventative health care attached to GP practices; an awareness of fitness issues within domiciliary and residential care; you will be studying towards a varied career of your choice.
On successful completion of this course, you will demonstrate a breadth of knowledge and critical understanding of the key aspects of exercise, health and fitness, while recognising, analysing and responding to moral, ethical and safety issues.
