Sarah’s Story
After moving to the UK from Afghanistan, Sarah joined Truro and Penwith College to improve her English and build her confidence. Starting on an ESOL Entry 3 course and progressing to Level 1 Functional Skills English, she developed the language skills needed to take the next step towards employment. Today, Sarah works as a Teaching Assistant at Richard Lander School and credits the support of her tutors and the welcoming College community for helping her achieve her goals. Her journey demonstrates how ESOL can open doors to new opportunities, greater independence and a brighter future.
