Former Creative Media Production & Technology student Katie has launched her marketing career at Spaceport Cornwall after turning a work placement opportunity into a Multi-Channel Marketer Apprenticeship.

For Kiana, caring for others has always been a natural part of life. Growing up, she spent years supporting her mother through mental health challenges and helping care for her younger brother. Those experiences shaped her outlook and ultimately inspired her career ambitions. "It's kind of always been caring and doing that kind of role in my life anyway," Kiana says.

After a successful career as a hairdresser, Tasha reached a turning point in her life that inspired a completely new direction. Having stepped away from salon life to care for her mother during a serious illness, Tasha found herself navigating the healthcare system from a personal perspective. The experience sparked a desire to make a difference in the lives of others.

Originally from Penzance, Jake joined Penwith College from Humphry Davy School in 2022 to study the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in IT. With a keen interest in technology and computing, he spent two years developing his technical knowledge while making the most of the opportunities available beyond the classroom.

Achieving an outstanding D*D*D* in the Level 3 Diploma in Music Performance, Tom is celebrating the successful completion of his studies and looking ahead to the next stage of his musical journey.

Choosing the right qualification after GCSEs can be the first step towards an exciting future, and for Casey, the decision to study the T Level in Design, Surveying and Planning has helped him develop the skills, knowledge and industry experience needed to progress to university.

Katie has graduated from Truro and Penwith College with an impressive DDD in the Extended Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering and is now preparing to take her passion for design to university.

For Olivia, studying at Truro and Penwith College has been an important step towards achieving an ambition she has held since Year 6, studying Biology at the University of Oxford. Olivia achieved outstanding A Level results, gaining an A* in Biology alongside A grades in Chemistry and Maths, securing her place at St Hugh’s College, Oxford, where she will continue her studies in Biology.

Hermione chose Penwith Campus for its smaller, close-knit feel, the same qualities she valued at Mullion School. Two years on, and despite facing significant personal health challenges along the way, she opened her results surrounded by the lecturers who supported her throughout, part of another year of results continuing the College's 30-year legacy of transforming lives across Cornwall, and now heads to Falmouth to study Dance Choreography.
