Beginners/Intermediate Jewellery

During the course techniques are taught through practical demonstration. Students will learn a variety of techniques in a supportive ironment with an emphasis on students developing their own skills and idea

This is a 10 week course for complete beginners or those with a bit of experience and would like to improve their skill. Each class is led by demonstration before students use the lesson to practice and develop the demonstrated skills/technique. 

Over the 10 weeks, seven of the weeks will be used to learn and or develop different jewellery techniques and processes before the final 3 are set aside for students to work on their own jewellery ideas. 

Topics to be covered include traditional jewellery craftmanship skills such as fret work, decorative techniques, soldering, texturing, polishing and filing.

Students will learn how to make rings, bangles, bracelets, chains, earrings as they design and make from personal ideas.

Initial materials charge of £10 - please bring cash payment to your first lesson. (Materials to include: saw blades/copper/copper sheet/solder/sheet of wet & dry/copper wire.
