This course has been designed as an extension from Jewellery Making for Beginners & Improvers, where students have learnt the basic techniques and wish to further their craft. It is useful to have technical knowledge and experience in soldering as a prerequisite for Intermediate / Advanced Jewellery. 

During this course you may cover more advanced techniques such as:

  • Boxes
  • Hinges
  • Lockets
  • Stone settings including tube, claw, tension, bezel and flush
  • Press forming
  • Brooch designing and pins
  • Etching and texturing
  • Advanced fret work
  • Further chain making 

We are unable to offer casting, wax carving and engraving facilities
