Level 2 Business Marketing
Marketing is essential to the success of all businesses in the UK, whether they are making products or offering services. The roles within marketing are varied and include digital marketing, advertising, sales, content creation and relationship management of customers.

This qualification has been developed in consultation with employers in marketing to ensure that you learn the skills and behaviours that will give you the best opportunity to be successful when applying for employment. All the content relates directly to the skills, knowledge and behaviours expected by employers in marketing. Careers in marketing offer a fantastic progression pathway into a number of roles throughout an organisation, and the skills you can develop are transferable into most businesses. You will also enhance your broader skills in literacy and numeracy, which will be invaluable in supporting progression in other areas. In addition, you will develop transferable technical and practical skills in communication and research and project work.

WHERE WILL IT TAKE ME?
The Level 2 course will prepare you to take the next steps on your journey, providing you with a sound basis to progress further in marketing to a Level 3 qualification or an Apprenticeship. Career options may include Digital Sales Assistant, Marketing and Branding Assistant, Marketing and Communications Assistant, Sales Agent, Sales Associate.
The majority of assessments will be in the form of coursework or pieces of extended writing which allow students to thoroughly show their understanding of business topics and concepts and really give of their best. Students will also develop skills in communication, teamwork, research, and analysis which are valuable skills.
Three GCSEs at Grade 3 or above to include English Language or Literature and/or Mathematics.
The course aims to give you a varied learning experience and will be a combination of a student centred approach to learning, involving research for assignments, guest speakers, lectures, group work and discussions and, where possible, visits.
An experienced team of lecturers, many of whom have relevant industry experience, will support your learning. You will need to be prepared to work hard independently, carry out in depth research and use a variety of sources of information.
We encourage all students to read widely and conduct their own research into the topics they are studying. There are a wide range of materials available across the campus to support this ranging from newspapers, textbooks and the Moodle site.
There will be regular 1:1 meetings with your tutor to review your progress and, where appropriate, you will be given the opportunity to attend drop in sessions, tailored 1:1 support, as well as a variety of opportunities to stretch and challenge the most able students. We encourage you to proactively engage with the support available in order to reach your full potential.
