If you were unable to attend a College Ready session in person, you can now watch a recording of the talk online. Transport – Activation codes are now in the College portal for those who have purchased college tendered buses only. New first year students can only activate their bus pass once they have approved their college email address on campus. Use your bus pass receipt to access the bus on 03 September.

Entry to the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge is particularly competitive, so the College has an intensive programme to support all Oxbridge applications.

At Truro and Penwith College you will be offered a comprehensive package to ensure that your university application is competitive and stands out when compared to that of other applicants. This includes super-curricular and enrichment opportunities, dedicated Oxbridge events, pre-interview test and application support, one-to-one mentoring, and mock interviews delivered by subject specialists. (Oxbridge support events can be signed up to in addition to other Academies.)
Truro and Penwith College Oxbridge offers exceed national average once again
Twelve Truro College students are one step closer to their dreams after receiving offers from two of the world’s best universities: Oxford and Cambridge.
Truro and Penwith College’s support for students with high aspirations has ensured that its Oxbridge offers are among the highest in Cornwall and have exceeded the national average once again, with one in four students receiving an offer for Oxford or Cambridge rather than the average of one in six.
The offer holders come from across Cornwall and demonstrate the wide variety of academic strengths amongst the Truro College cohort, as they are going on to study subjects such as Engineering, Music, Biology, Mathematics, Languages and a variety of Humanities subjects.
The trip to Oxford was indispensable to my decision to apply there. Getting to experience living in the College and having a taster of what sorts of lectures/seminars I would be getting cemented in my mind that I wanted to do my degree there.
