Results Day isn’t really about a piece of paper. It’s about what happens next, and knowing that whatever your results say, there is a place for you here, and people ready to help you find it.
The Build-Up to Results Day
Exam results can be a stressful time. In the days leading up to Results Day, it’s normal to be anxious about what your results will be, but this line of thinking is unhelpful and can take a toll on your mental health. Where you can, try to avoid dwelling on your results until you’re opening them on the day, and remind yourself that you did your best.
Successfully completing your exams is an achievement that you deserve to celebrate, regardless of your results. If you find it hard to ignore your worries, BBC Bitesize recommends acknowledging your feelings and talking to a trusted person who won’t add to your worries.
Use the time leading up to Results Day to practise self-care, spend time with loved ones and distract yourself with your hobbies. There’s a good chance you’ve done better than you’re expecting.
Level 3 Results Day: Thursday 13 August 2026
All Level 3 results: A Level, BTEC, Cambridge Technicals, T Level and UAL, are released together on Thursday 13 August 2026.
Where to collect your results:
- Truro Campus: Fal Building
- Penwith Campus: Zennor Building
- Doors open at 8am
How it works on the day:
- 8am to 12pm: Collect your results in person.
- 12pm to 2pm: Results move to the Exams Office.
- From 8.30am: Results are also available online via the intranet, logging in with your full college email address and password.
A few important things to know:
- Due to GDPR regulations, we are not able to release results by email.
- We cannot release results to a third party, including parents, unless the person collecting them brings written authorisation from the student.
- Any results not collected in person will be posted to the address we hold on our system, so please make sure your details are up to date.
If Your Results Aren’t What You Expected
Senior members of staff will be on hand when you collect your results at College if your grades don’t meet the entry requirements for your chosen university.
If you don’t receive the grades your university asked for, the first step is to contact them directly to see if they’re prepared to make you an alternative offer. If that isn’t successful, UCAS has published helpful guidance on what to do after you get your exam results.
If you aren’t accepted by your original choice, you may want to look at Clearing, the process by which universities offer remaining places on courses to students who didn’t quite meet their first-choice entry requirements, or who’ve changed their mind about what they want to study.
