Travel and bursary information is now available on our Travel & Bursary Hub. Please read our Start of Year Guide to find out more about start dates, College Ready sessions and submitting your GCSE results online.
The event is jam-packed with essential information, talks, experiences and resources to get you College Ready and we highly recommend you attend to enjoy the best possible start to College life.
Supporting you to settle into the College and straightforward completion of your Start of Year Checklist, you will start your visit with an informative talk from the College’s Director of Quality, Lucy Maggs.
After hearing from Lucy you’ll break up into small groups of approximately ten for your tailor-made guided tour of the learning areas you are set to study in, essential campus locations and services available throughout your college journey, along with the friendly members of staff who will support you along the way from Student Services, Learning Resource Centres and the Career Zone to Food Outlets, Bus Stops and the Enrichment Zone, to name a few.
On the conclusion of your tour you will return to our Hub to explore stands covering our range of support services, subject areas, important information, activities, entertainment and games, while spending more time with your fellow new starters, all while enjoying free ice cream!
Students are very welcome to attend with their friends. Simply register individually for the same event and we will ensure you are on the same tour.
The sessions will take place on the following dates and times.
- 19 June, 22 June and 25 June 2026 10am – 12pm & 1pm – 3pm
Please note this is a student-only event. A temporary drop-off and pick-up area will be available for parents and carers. Students should register onto one session only.
TAKE YOUR FIRST STEP
We’re confident you’ll love your time at Truro and Penwith College as much as our current students, and we can’t wait to go further together.
