The film captures the energy, ambition and sense of belonging that students can expect across Truro College, Penwith College and the STEM & Health Skills Centre. From specialist facilities and practical learning environments to student support, friendships and progression opportunities, the film gives future students and their families a glimpse of what it means to study at one of the country’s leading tertiary colleges.
The 90-second version of the film has already been used as part of the College’s Taster Day experience, helping school pupils see and feel what life at College could be like as they begin making decisions about their next steps. A 30-second edit will also be used in cinema advertising and on Sky TV as part of the College’s wider campaign to reach young people and families across Cornwall.
The film has been created to support students at an important stage in their journey, whether they are exploring A Levels, T Levels, vocational courses, Apprenticeships, sport academies, Higher Education or specialist provision linked to future careers.
Staff and students from across the College played an important role in helping bring the film to life, supporting filming across a wide range of subject areas, campuses and learning spaces.
Truro and Penwith College would like to thank all students and staff who took part, as well as Oatey Media for their work in helping capture the personality, confidence and ambition of the College community.
The new film forms part of the College’s wider recruitment and engagement activity, including Taster Days, Open Events, school liaison activity, digital campaigns and applicant communications.
Prospective students and their families are encouraged to watch the film, explore the full range of courses and find out more about upcoming opportunities to visit the College.
Watch the film and start exploring where your journey could take you.
