Brooks Financial Planning Ltd
Brooks Financial Planning Ltd has worked in partnership with Truro and Penwith College to design a quality Apprenticeship programme that is tackling skills gaps within the organisation, allowing it to grow its own talent in preparation for future challenges and growth.
Brooks has recruited three Business Administration apprentices, all of whom have excelled, offering vital support to the business and have gone on to be offered full-time permanent roles in the organisation.
The journey with the apprentices has been one of immense satisfaction and pride for Operations Manager Katherine Clotworthy, as she witnesses their growth and success in the company.
Katherine commented: “All the Apprentices we have taken on have done really well and they have all been offered a job at Brooks Financial.
“It has been a massively rewarding process. The work that I have personally put in, to pass my knowledge on and to see them put it into practise, then get through it all and pass well, makes me proud of them all.
“We were always going to take on two apprentices as we wanted them to go through the journey and grow together. Then, David came out of nowhere and we couldn’t pass on an amazing opportunity, which is why we took on three.
“We all know recruitment in Cornwall can be difficult due to many factors and taking on an apprentice isn’t about cheap labour, it’s about picking someone who will grow with the business and by doing so has helped Brooks Financial for the better, they bring a new dynamic and energy to the office”.
The remarkable achievement and results at Brooks Financial Planning Ltd is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the apprentices, senior staff at Brooks and the College’s team of industry expert tutors and advisors.
Katherine believes the apprentices fresh perspectives and energy infuses; “a new dynamic into the office, enriching the overall work environment”.
Through Katherine’s mentorship and the company’s dedication to apprenticeship programs, Brooks Financial Planning Ltd has fostered a culture of learning, growth and excellence.
The success of Books Financial Planning Ltd’s apprenticeship programme is evidence of Truro and Penwith College’s commitment to working with Cornwall’s very best employers.
