About the role

We are looking for an inspirational and committed lecturer in Sport Therapy with the ability to enthuse students and maintain excellent working relationships within a highly successful department.

The appointed candidate will be expected to deliver high-quality teaching on Higher Education programmes and contribute to providing an outstanding learning experience for our students.

Candidates should be confident teaching across a range of ability levels, including Levels 4, 5 and 6, and should demonstrate enthusiasm for their subject alongside a strong commitment to teamwork. The successful candidate will lead several modules, supervise sports therapy clinics, and take responsibility for a tutor group. Candidates who are new to the teaching profession will be supported by a highly experienced higher education team.

About you

Candidates must hold a Sport Therapy degree accredited by The Society of Sports Therapists (SST), with a master’s degree being desirable.

We welcome applications from experienced industry professionals wishing to transition into teaching, and funding may be available to support teacher training.

The ideal candidate will have a successful track record in delivering Sport Therapy courses and/or may be a practicing sports therapist seeking to move into a lecturing role.

The successful candidate must be willing to engage in regular CPD to remain up to date with current research, evidence-based practice, and emerging techniques and technologies and maintain full professional membership with the SST for the duration of employment.

Benefits include: 40 days (pro rata) annual leave plus bank holidays and College closure days, Teachers’ Pension Scheme, relocation package, free on-site parking, staff discounts, and a comprehensive wellbeing programme.

*Applicants who do not hold a recognised teaching qualification will be considered but will be paid on a non-qualified lecturer scale.

Curriculum Vitae are not accepted, Application Forms only.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if a suitable candidate is found. Interviews may be held on a rolling basis.

Successful candidates will be notified within 4 weeks of the closing date.
