Charlotte, Sophia and Rosie are celebrating fantastic results on the Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Creative Media Production & Technology, achieving two Distinctions and a Merit between them. While proud of their academic success, the trio say the sense of friendship and belonging they found at College was just as important as the qualifications they earned.

Reflecting on their time at Truro and Penwith College, Sophia said her highlight was: “Probably being with these two.”

The sentiment was quickly shared by Charlotte and Rosie, highlighting the strong friendships and supportive environment that became such an important part of their College experience.

Alongside the sense of belonging they found in their class, the trio praised the opportunities they had to develop their creativity using industry-standard equipment and hands-on practical projects.

Charlotte said: “We had a lovely class.”

Rosie believes the course is a great option for students looking for a creative and practical alternative to A Levels.

“If exams aren’t for you, I definitely would recommend this course because there’s quite a lot of coursework and you can be really creative in it.”

The course also helped each of them grow in confidence and develop skills that will support them in their future studies and careers. Sophia highlighted public speaking as one of the most valuable skills she gained, while Rosie said the experience had helped boost her confidence overall.

For students considering a Creative Media course, Charlotte’s advice is simple: “Just do it.”

The trio were a joy to interview, with their personalities, creativity and confidence shining through. Reflecting the skills they’ve developed on the course, Charlotte, Sophia and Rosie spoke confidently about their achievements, future ambitions and the friendships that helped shape their College experience.

Now, the friends are looking forward to exciting new chapters. Charlotte plans to take a gap year before studying Media and Communications at Swansea University, Rosie is progressing to university to study Event Management, and Sophia will be heading to the University of West London to study Media and Communications.
