My Story:

Nick, an experienced professional seeking to enhance his leadership skills, joined Truro and Penwith College’s Leadership and Management course with a desire to bring fresh perspectives to his role.

“The course provided valuable insights and moments for reflection. I left each session with new ideas and motivation to implement them within my organisation,” Nick shared, highlighting how the engaging and supportive learning environment encouraged open discussions.

Throughout the course, Nick felt well-supported. He said: “Both my Director and Tutor were always available to assist with any queries or feedback I needed. They actively encouraged me to seek help whenever required.”

The training went beyond theoretical knowledge and gave Nick actionable steps to take within his workplace. “It has had practical implications for the business, such as reviewing internal processes to improve efficiency,” he explained. Nick also recognised the personal growth the course facilitated, leading him to become more involved in areas of the business that he hadn’t previously engaged with.

Looking ahead, Nick plans to continue applying what he has learnt, with aspirations to further his education in leadership and management. “I aim to keep improving the operation of the business and am considering additional ILM or related courses,” he reflected.

Nick wholeheartedly recommends the course and commented: “The level of support was fantastic, and I would highly recommend Truro and Penwith College’s Future Skills Institute to anyone looking to further their development.”
