After achieving an impressive A*AB in Physics, Mathematics and PE A Levels, Rhys is preparing for the next chapter of his academic journey at the University of Bristol, where he will study Mathematics and Physics.

Alongside his studies, Rhys made the most of the opportunities available through the College’s Football Academy, travelling both across the UK and internationally. Most notably as part of this year’s squad that travelled to the USA to compete in the prestigious Dallas Cup.

Reflecting on his decision to join the College, Rhys highlighted the benefits of combining academic study with sporting opportunities.

“There aren’t as many options for sport at secondary school. It’s great to be around like-minded people at college and have opportunities to play.”

Academically, Rhys particularly enjoyed being able to explore subjects in greater depth.

“I enjoyed studying my subjects at a deeper level, especially Physics.”

Rhys’ success both in the classroom and on the pitch has helped prepare him for an exciting future at university, where he will continue to develop his passion for mathematics and physics.
