Tamsin Merrit
Tamsin Merritt retired from Truro College after a 27 year career in Special Education. She began teaching students with High Needs within the Foundation Studies Department, becoming Deputy Team Leader before taking on a cross college role as Programme Team Leader in Learning Services. Tamsin was responsible for all students with High Needs cross college, reviewing Educational Health Care Plans, liaising with the Local Authority and healthcare professionals and helping prepare students for moving into adulthood. Alongside her administrative post, Tamsin lectured and trained in Autism Awareness. Tamsin is now putting to good use her vast experience in SEND as the SEND Lead Governor for the College.
