Truro and Penwith College has unveiled its latest initiative to boost the career prospects of adults across Cornwall with a series of free training under its new Summer Seminars series.
The new series of free training will be delivered between April and June, offering Cornwall’s professionals the opportunity to ignite personal and professional development.
The fully-funded training has been made possible thanks to the College’s exceptional information, advice and guidance that allows it to pull together and support learners to access funding from a variety of local and national streams that aim to boost employment, career progression, knowledge and skills.
The Summer Seminars, hosted at both Truro College and the STEM and Health Skills Centre Bodmin, extend Truro and Penwith College’s commitment to deliver quality professional development training programmes across Cornwall and covers six topics regularly requested by its employer partners; Developing Talent, Introduction to Coaching, Performance Management Essentials, Effective Mentoring, Assertiveness & Challenging Conversations and Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace.
These seminars are meticulously designed in partnership with employers to empower learners with practical skills that boost their career and deliver a positive impact on their workplace.
The initiative, delivered by the College’s Future Skills Institute, follows the successful delivery of its March Masterclasses that saw adult learners supported to take part in free training in Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace, Change Management for Managers, Assertiveness and Challenging Conversations, Time Management and Copywriting & Content Creation with many learners using the training to progress in their current roles or discover further training to boost their careers.
Charli Styles, Programme Team Leader for Future Skills at Truro and Penwith College, commented: “Cornwall’s business community is at the heart of our initiative, and we are delighted to offer these professional development programs as a catalyst for success. Our seminars provide a unique opportunity to elevate skills and drive progress for seasoned professionals and newcomers alike.
“Thanks to the Institute’s unwavering commitment to making quality education accessible to all, attendance at these seminars is completely free of charge. Participants can choose from a range of dates and locations, ensuring convenience for busy professionals seeking to engage in this enriching experience.”
