Eduqas have judged Penwith College to be a Commended Centre for Film Studies, displaying excellence in Film Production work this year. Many of the students obtained full marks for their short films and screenplays.
Kerri D’arcy, Film Studies lecturer said: “I am thrilled that Penwith College has been recognised as a Commended Centre for Film Production! A Level Film Studies is a fantastic subject that has the power to connect us to a world outside of our own. Studying film alters our perspective and expands our reality by highlighting the significance of cultural context, narrative, genre, representation and ideology.
“An A Level in Film Studies is highly valued by many universities and employers, and many of our students go on to work in the industry. Take this course, and you will never watch a film the same way again!’’
