After two years of hard work and dedication over 1,600 A Level, Vocational Diploma and T Level students collected their results in August. With almost 1,000 students leaving College having secured entry to their first-choice university, this year is the culmination of their efforts and diligence, supported through the care, expertise and dedication of our excellent staff.

Senara Restaurant has been recognised by Tripadvisor as a 2022 Travellers’ Choice award winner making it amongst the top 10 restaurants in the world.

Penwith College’s Senara Restaurant has been recognised by Tripadvisor as a 2022 Travellers’ Choice award winner. The award celebrates businesses that have received consistently great reviews on Tripadvisor over the last 12 months and puts the restaurant in the top 10% in the world.
The accolade comes just days after Senara won the AA Hospitality College Restaurant of the Year award, further cementing its place in the echelons of Cornwall’s foodie culture.
Dave Izzard, Professional Catering Lecturer at Senara Restaurant, said of the recognition: “We are blown away to be given this award as it is not a competition when you have one opportunity to win but due to consistent highly positive reviews about our food and service. We don’t push people to leave reviews, they do it because they want to celebrate the achievement of our students which makes it an even greater reward.”
Director of Penwith College Lucy Maggs added: “We are absolutely delighted that our restaurant has been given such a high accolade that it ranks amongst the top 10% in the world on Trip Advisor. Trip Advisor is the “go to” place to get information about the best places to eat or to stay and this award is so deserved.
“The staff and students work really hard to make the College restaurant the best it can be for customer service as well as the food. Every year in September we get a new cohort of students wanting to start they journey within the hospitality industry and by the time they have finished they are all easily employable as they have learned so many great skills from sourcing food locally and seasonally to experiencing work alongside Michelin star chefs. Achievement across all 3 levels is 100% due to the enthusiasm and diligence of our outstanding team here at Penwith College.”
Senara Restaurant, located at the College’s stunning Penzance campus and with views across Mounts Bay, is open for reservations on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
