City & Guilds Computer Aided Design (CAD) Level 2 (Solidworks)

This course is ideal if you have some experience in computing, perhaps in manufacturing or engineering design and want to increase your knowledge and skills and progress in your career.  By the end of the course you will be able to create complex 2D sketches, create and edit work using complex features and commands, create table driven parts, add additional information to a drawing layout to aid communication to the fabrication teams.  Create presentation quality displays of parts and assemblies. You must have some experience in using Solidworks before undertaking this course.

This course is to develop the skills learnt on the level 1 course.

This course would be ideal for the more competent user of the software as it would cover the more advanced principles of integrating CAD and Spreadsheets, as well as advanced CAD features like lofting and sweeping. This will allow you to create more complex and organic designs as well as saving time for you or your company.
