Welcome first years! We hope that you've had a great summer and we're looking forward to seeing you here in September. This page shows the information for first year registration at both our Truro and Penwith campuses. Lectures will start the week commencing 23 September 2024.

Registration and Induction Day

Truro*: Tuesday 17 September, Fal building, 9am - 1.30pm

*Nursing: Your registration and induction week will begin on Monday 9th September, in the Fal building from 9.15am. Please check communications from the Nursing and Allied Health team for further details.

Penwith: Wednesday 18 September, Penberth building, 10am - 1pm

At the induction you will meet your fellow students and your programme lead to go through the details of your course and modules, complete the enrolment process, find out more about the support on offer and attend some interactive workshops. You will also be shown how to access the College intranet and online systems.

More details will be sent to you in August via email.

What to bring with you

You will need to bring some photo ID to registration, such as a passport or driving license. Please also bring the relevant finance documents (from the section below) with you on the day.

Please ensure you fill out this Enrolment Form by Friday 13 September.

Students will be expected to wear their ID at all times. Lanyards will be provided at registration.

driving and parking on campus

We are not able to offer student parking at the Truro campus, except for those who meet specific eligibility criteria, please follow this link to view the eligibility criteria. You will be given login details and information on how to apply (if you meet the required eligibility), at your induction day in September.

Please note that there is an automated number plate recognition system in place at Truro College between the hours of 6am and 4.30pm. Visitors are entitled to 30 mins for pickup/drop-off and all other visitors must register their vehicle at a designated Reception point.

Eligibility criteria is currently for Truro College parking only and students must apply for a permit via the college intranet. For parking at Penwith College and the STEM & Health Skills Centre, Bodmin, please talk directly to staff at either college about their process.

Parking is available at the Langarth Park and Ride at Threemilestone. It is free if you walk into the University Centre via the retail park or a cost of £2.40 for a day ticket if you use the Park and Ride service (multi-day tickets are also available). There are other buses that run to both the Truro and Penwith campuses regularly, for the most up-to-date information, please check the timetables at Go Cornwall Bus.

A refundable College deposit of £30 will be required in order to loan books and specialist equipment. This can be paid via our portal once you have started your course. Please follow this guidance on how to pay.

We run an exclusive range of activities here at the University Centre. This includes lunchtime drop-in sessions that are available for students to relax and socialise with friends, exercise classes, gym sessions and swimming. Find out more about HWS here.
