Professional Development

If you’d like to gain a qualification, or if it has been a while since you studied, our range of certificated courses and qualifications will help you achieve your aims.

We offer a wealth of professional courses tailored to meet the needs of employers, including City and Guilds Medical Terminology, Certificate in Personnel Practice, AAT Accounting and a variety of Legal Executive programmes. These qualifications give you the knowledge and certification you need to progress your career.

SUCCESS courses

SUCCESS courses are a flexible way of studying at University level for those who have limited time and wish to gain a higher-level qualification.

Designed with business and career development in mind, they provide a way to enhance skills and knowledge by combining practice with theory. All courses are at Level 4 or 5 and are taken from our Higher Education courses approved by Plymouth University. They can be studied individually or as part of a Certificate of Professional Development (CPD).

Courses typically involve five days of taught learning spread over two to three months, supported by e-learning resources, industry speakers and visits as appropriate. In addition, you will be asked to conduct research and/or complete assignments in your own time. Courses are delivered flexibly during the day or in the evening to accommodate students with varying commitments.
