Senior Designer at shipping container conversion company ISO Spaces, Sarah Scully produces content, 3D models and technical designs before the projects are brought to life.
Having already worked there for three years as a Design Assistant, Sarah was promoted to a more managerial position where she now leads a small team.
The company has grown rapidly and is still taking on more staff meaning that my team is growing.
With no prior experience or formal training in management, Sarah decided to upskill and develop herself into the role: "I want to learn a bit more about what it takes to be a leader and a manager so I can understand the best way to manage the workflow of new projects amongst the team."
After attending a free Higher Levels Skills taster session in Leadership and Management, Sarah is now looking to work towards a Level 3 Leadership and Management qualification at Truro and Penwith College to develop her skills and help her in day-to-day work. Sarah said: "I really didn't know what I was expecting from the taster session but the tutor certainly ran through some of the things that I was interested in finding out more about."
