Apprentice nomination

Judges will be scoring nominations based on the criteria below. Please complete each section, describing what your nominee has done to achieve each criterion and why they are worthy winners of the award.

Nominees should be entered into the most appropriate sector category and will be automatically considered for Cornwall's Apprentice of the Year and Achiever of the Year awards. If the sector categories are not appropriate please nominate for Cornwall's Apprentice of the Year.
Judges will be looking for evidence that contributions or ideas have been adopted and implemented as a permanent solution by the employer. To achieve a top score there should be evidence of tangible benefits i.e. improved efficiency, cost savings, increased sales, added value etc.
Judges will be looking for a combination of academic achievement and academic improvement throughout the apprenticeship. Top scores will not only be awarded to nominees with the best grades, but those who have overachieved by their own standards, from where they were at the start of their apprenticeship programme.
This area considers skills and qualities that the apprentice has brought to their role in addition to the basic requirements of their employer. Those achieving top scores will have gone above and beyond the call of duty to evidence great team working or commitment and may be mentoring others or helping the organisation to promote their apprenticeship programme.
Judges will score the value the apprentice has added to their team, organisation or community. If this apprentice has overome adversity or personal challenge, tell us about it here so we can also consider them for the Achiever of the Year Award.

If you wish to send examples of your nominee's work to support your nomination, please email them to nominations@truro-penwith.ac.uk with your nominee's name as the subject. This evidence should not be used to extend the 500 words of your nomination. Truro and Penwith College may use content from your nomination in press coverage of the Cornwall Apprenticeship Awards and to highlight outstanding achievement in Apprenticeship training in Cornwall. Footage and photographs taken on the evening will also be used. If there is any reason why a nominee or their achievements should not be published in the media please get in contact with us at nominations@truro-penwith.ac.uk
